Cities and organizations all across the province are busy planning for BC Youth Week 2022! Please reach out to us or to people in your City to find out what is going on! We will be updating the website with all the details as the information becomes available.
Location: 125 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver, BC
Details: For the past fifteen years, local youth organizations and businesses have been working with the City of North Vancouver to celebrate our province’s annual Youth Week. This festival is an amazing undertaking featuring over 400 local youth performers and competitors showcasing their talents in music, dance, drama, fashion, and film. As well, the event includes food booths, a longboard race, and well-run skateboarding competition, the largest of its kind in Metro Vancouver.
This year, Mayor and Council will be virtually celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of 15 young people, and acknowledging local businesses and individuals from across the District that have supported youth in our community.
This training will help those working with children aged six to 12 in a front-line leader capacity, such as a camp counselor, coach or swim instructor. It provides in-depth training in the HIGH FIVE®Principles of Healthy Child Development to help front-line leaders understand what they need to do to ensure each child’s social, emotional and cognitive needs are met. Leaders learn activities and gain knowledge, tips and resources to enhance their programs as well as their relationships with children and other staff members.
