During May 1-7, let’s celebrate youth living in our community! Join us for a combination of ‘Try-it’ classes both on and off site for free! Get fired up through a high intensity fitness class and a kickboxing intro class, orientate yourself to our fitness studio and meet one of our trainers, explore the sport of fencing, relax during yoga and participate in a dragon boating introductory session down at marina!
This year during BC Youth Week Celebrations (May 1-7) Comox Community Centre is hosting a Youth Recognition Dinner on Friday May 6th from 6-7:30pm to recognize the achievements of youth residing in the Town of Comox. The youth recognition award recognizes youth (12-24yrs) who have achieved progress in a particular endeavour, demonstrated great skill in an area or a youth volunteer who has made positive contributions to the community on a voluntary basis.

Details: The Old Schoolhouse Arts Centre (TOSH) presents the 2022 TOSH Student Exhibition exploring the theme of nature. Students were invited to meditate on the theme of "Nature" and submitted work based on that rumination. The exhibition brings together a diverse group of school-aged artists who utilize different mediums, styles and techniques to present a unique perspective on an important theme. The exhibition includes various interactive art installations for community members of all ages to engage with.
Details: The butterfly is a symbol of transformation. From the cocoon, the butterfly emerges in colourful splendour. Just like a butterfly, we too are emerging from this unsettling time transformed. Over the course of 2020, schools, groups and community members were invited to decorate paper butterflies that have been hung in the TOSH galleries.
